We Found It! #18

Since I moved here to Colorado, I have been looking for a Mediterranean restaurant. We have thought we would find one here, but nothing so far, until today.

Last night my daughter and I were talking about where to eat today, we have our favorites that we have discovered, but we are always looking for that new place that will be the family favorite.

My 60 new things before my 60th birthday has helped our search. We try to find locally owned places, hole in the wall is usually the best and that has served us well for sushi, Italian, seafood, and possibly pizza (depends on who you ask). I have been craving shawarma for a few weeks, so this was the time to find some. And a good search on the net found us Sultan Grill.

Not my photo, I forgot to take one. 😵

They had a nice variety on the menu, and chicken shawarma was it for me.

My daughter and son in love had a combo plate with kabobs and shawarma. Both plates came with hummus and garlic sauce and basmati rice. My granddaughter has the chicken nuggets and fries. We all also got some fries for the table.

As you can see, we hated it!

Just kidding, we ate so much we couldn’t take another bite.

During lunch, my daughter was telling me that we need to take my son here when he comes to visit and her inlaws and other family. We are already planning a return trip and my son in love declares we had found our place.

It was just a hole in the wall, but then again, they are susally the very best.

My granddaughter and I headed to the dollar store to see if there was something she couldn’t live without and so I could pick up some items for “blessing bags” (I need to make more up I feel like I need to keep more in my car).

The goal is 60 new things before I turn 60 and I have 42 more to go and I can’t wait!

About Me

My name is Susan and I turned 59 this week. I was not thrilled about this age or the one that would be coming up next. One celebratory post on social media that included a link, inspired me to try 60 new things or experiences before I turn 60 in 2025. Join me on this journey as I view these adventures through a dirty windshield.

Susan is a mom of 2, grandmother of 1 and owned by 1 dog. Currently living in the Denver, Colorado metro area.
