Strategy?

What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?

I’ve never been good with games that required that big, deep, strategic thinking.

Being a person with a couple of auto-immune disorders, comfort is an illusive thing. I work from home and have my laptop and monitor on a mobile desk so I can change up spots during the day. That is for physical comfort.

As a semi extroverted introvert, working from home is a good fit for me. I can choose where to give my energy, like being a listening ear for someone close to me, praying with a friend, spending time with my kids and grand-baby. This is for my emotional comfort.

Having recently relocating just under two years ago, I have not yet found a church home, but I can attend services virtually at churches pastored by family friends or family in various states. Or enjoying a Bible study with a friend over FaceTime. This is for my spiritual comfort.

I don’t think of these things as strategic moves, they are things that work right now.

In 6 months it could change, I could set up a different home office configuration, I could find a church, and I could pour out more of myself to others not on the list above.

These are things I need to do, to help be a functioning human being.

But maybe they are.

About Me

My name is Susan and I turned 59 this week. I was not thrilled about this age or the one that would be coming up next. One celebratory post on social media that included a link, inspired me to try 60 new things or experiences before I turn 60 in 2025. Join me on this journey as I view these adventures through a dirty windshield.

Susan is a mom of 2, grandmother of 1 and owned by 1 dog. Currently living in the Denver, Colorado metro area.
