Another New Place To Eat! #37

About a week ago, I saw a video on TikTok about a Korean restaurant and the woman had her mother with her, who was a Korean immigrant, and they both praised the food and asked people to please come and enjoy the food.

A few days later, my daughter sent me the link to the video (tagged above) and said we should go and try it. And so we did!

We met up at Sorry Umma, in Westminster, CO.

Truly a dirty windshield, huh?

I had never had “hot pot” before. I thought I knew what it was, but I was wrong in all my thinking except for 2 things.

1) there is a pot.

2) the pot gets hot.

So for those of you who, like me, had no idea, here is how it worked. We were sat at a table that was outfitted with 4 burners. Each seat had a controller for their burner.

We ordered the meat from the server, we got various sauces, veggies and seafood at a cold station. We did a lunch there, so got the all you can eat hot pot. We each ordered 2 meats and we had a choice of broth. When they poured it into the pot, we turned our burners on and put the dial on to level 5.

We took turns getting noodles, gyoza, veggies, and all the sauces. We added the thinly sliced meat to the pot, and our noodles and veggies. It was sooooo good!

We had a chance to talk with owner, she was our server. She said that they had been open for a bit before the lady shared on TikTok and business just exploded over night. She had kitchen folks helping her serve. They currently don’t have a website, but I’m sure that will be added soon.

I love that my kids are on the look out for new places for me. And I’ve passed the halfway point, and I’m excited to see what is coming.

The goal is 60 new things before I turn 60 and I have 26 more to go and I can’t wait!

About Me

My name is Susan and I turned 59 this week. I was not thrilled about this age or the one that would be coming up next. One celebratory post on social media that included a link, inspired me to try 60 new things or experiences before I turn 60 in 2025. Join me on this journey as I view these adventures through a dirty windshield.

Susan is a mom of 2, grandmother of 1 and owned by 1 dog. Currently living in the Denver, Colorado metro area.
