This weekend, my friend and godmother to my children, arrived in Colorado. She needed a change of scenery and my impending birthday was a great excuse to head to the mountains. We also celebrated a little early with my daughter and son in love and my granddaughter.
We went to Cherry Cricket in Littleton, CO. And it was better than I expected. It’s a very cute and retro-ish joint.

It was a beautiful day, filled with blue skies, lots of sunshine, warm breezes and little piles of snow here and there. We are all loving the clear and bright days with the unseasonably warm weather.
There are cute outdoor areas for games and outdoor dining.

The menu offered a lot of great options, I got the Colorado Bison Burger with Swiss cheese and avocado. Delicious! My granddaughter got a chocolate shake with her lunch and was thrilled with the size!

After lunch, Sofia and I took my friend exploring over to the cute town of Morrison and the Red Rocks park and amphitheater. It was a beautiful way to start the last few days of my 50s.

In our exploring, we discovered some parts of Red Rocks that I had not seen before. And a sculpture paying homage to the miners and builders.

This has been a great year of documenting adventures before my 60th. I have had a blast. I am going to do a hard push this week to cram in the last 10, so we shall see!
The goal is 60 new things before I turn 60 and I have 11 more to go and I can’t wait!
