A couple of weeks back, my granddaughter and I were at the park by my house and as we were leaving, we noticed a bunch of animals on a hillside near walking trails. I thought maybe it was Humane Society or maybe a local shelter, setting up for adoptions. 🦮 🐐
Today, I was running errands after work, and I cut thru a subdivision, and saw it again. There were more 🐐 goats than I had ever seen in one place and never in a suburban neighborhood! At least 50 goats, easy. 🐐🐐🐐
Now, I have heard of people using a couple of 🐐goats🐐 to clear land, and in Texas it happens quite often. But then, it was just 1 🐐or 2 🐐🐐goats, nowhere this many – not by a long shot.
Now, since this afternoon, I have done some research and found that this an “🐐eco-friendly🐐” way to clear the land, stabilize the soil and help with fire mitigation.
I pulled over to take pictures, thinking I would show my granddaughter that I found the goats 🐐 🐐 🐐 we saw when we thought they were 🦮 dogs, and realized others had done the same. Little ones squealing in delight, families taking pictures while the 🐐😎📸 goats the grazed. Some people just sat down by the little fence and had a picnic 🧺 with the 🐐 goats. A delightful way to wrap up the after work running around.

The goal is 60 new things before I turn 60 and I have 34 more to go and I can’t wait!
