Oh! I know this one!

If you could host a dinner and anyone you invite was sure to come, who would you invite?

Of course, Jesus is at the top of the list. I have questions and I just want to sit with Him. That would the best ever.

My parents! I want to ask them so many questions.

Grandparents too. One of my grandfathers died when I was very young, he was in his 40s.

Oh lots of the people from the scriptures. A few people from history. Like Susan B. Anthony, Alice Paul, or Ida Wells.

Oh and authors like Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) or O Henry, or Grace Livingston Hill.

I would be nervous, excited, worried, and ecstatic to see them, to meet them. It would be the best dinner party ever!

Sounds like a plan. I like the best part-inviting Jesus! Great post.

  2. This is such a beautiful and heartwarming idea! The thought of having dinner with all those who’ve shaped your life is so touching. I especially love the inclusion of Jesus – such a powerful presence. You know it reminds me of Indian weddings where the invitation card is first written to the gods. Beautiful idea 💕

About Me

My name is Susan and I turned 59 this week. I was not thrilled about this age or the one that would be coming up next. One celebratory post on social media that included a link, inspired me to try 60 new things or experiences before I turn 60 in 2025. Join me on this journey as I view these adventures through a dirty windshield.

Susan is a mom of 2, grandmother of 1 and owned by 1 dog. Currently living in the Denver, Colorado metro area.
