I had planned on exploring this weekend, but the Denver/Boulder areas got a storm. Lots of snow after last weeks Arctic blast turned the snow into frozen tundra reminiscent of Arendelle because I thought for sure I saw talking a snowman and a sassy reindeer.

We were enjoying each others company and I did not get many pictures, but time with my family is so precious, I’m glad I was able to be ”present”. Nonetheless, I got a couple.

We found the train station, which made me smile. It’s a quaint little building but really my first thought was the series, Yellowstone. If you are a fan of the show, you’ll get the reference.

There is something to be said about sitting propped up in your bed, swaddled in all the covers, surrounded by used tissues and cough drops wrappers that makes you not care about being a quitter.

The drive is beautiful. The sky was so blue it looked fake, and I was reminded of animal parks when I was a kid. I remember one in particular, in South Dakota. It’s was Custer National Park, and the begging burros lived up to their name!

Such a cute downtown area greets you as you drive in. There were tree lined streets, old houses, restored buildings with a modern twist. Beautiful sculptures and a big lake! I drove up and down streets, drinking in the beautiful architecture and their yards displaying riots of color.

I saw a lady on a video, on one of the many socials, showing how she makes her own dog treats for her dogs. I thought it didn’t look too hard and so I set on a little mission to figure out how to go about this tasty dog treat.

A couple of weeks back, my granddaughter and I were at the park by my house and we were leaving, we noticed a bunch of animals on a hillside near walking trails. I thought maybe it was Humane Society or maybe a local shelter, setting up for adoptions.

My name is Susan and I turned 59 this week. I was not thrilled about this age or the one that would be coming up next. One celebratory post on social media that included a link, inspired me to try 60 new things or experiences before I turn 60 in 2025.
